Seriously?

See that enormous hole in the ground? I woke up to that being dug at 7 am yesterday morning....my "Saturday". DH slept through it. Bastard. Seriously? You couldn't wait?

Oh, and hey! advance notice of turning off of water? Totally unnecessary! Or, you know, that the sewer lines would be cut and perhaps we shouldn't flush....Seriously?

Which led to me not knowing about the sewer lines and, well, not to be graphic, but I've been eating a lot more, and that means I have to, well, poo more. And I didn't know about the sewer lines. So I poo'ed. A few minutes later our neighbor comes in with a big cheesy grin on his face JUST to let me know that my poo was stinky, but cute, and perhaps I shouldn't flush for a while because IT'S IN THE HOLE IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE AND ALL THE CONSTRUCTION GUYS WERE PRIVY TO THAT FUN PART OF ME....

SERIOUSLY??????

Go ahead, laugh it up. Everyone else did.

Okay, got that out of my system. Ahem, no pun intended. Alright, maybe it was.

I am really wordy this week....sorry, brain won't shut up. So let's see, what else....well, Monday night I changed the cat litter for the last time for the next 5 weeks (10 months????). In all my years of owning cats I never got toxoplasmosis, so I am off litter duty for the duration :) YAY!

My younger "sister" (it's a long story) is in the midst of a custody battle with her husband (they are 20 and have a child....don't get me started on the bitterness and envy I feel...but her daughter is so precious!!!) and apparently he's pulling out the big guns and has Child Services showing up today to try and prove neglect. To be safe she is getting rid of her menagerie...so last night we inherited a cornsnake named Adrian for an indeterminate period of time. We've turned down 2 cats lately, but DH said the snake was okay. We used to have 3 snakes in CA, and I've had numerous over the years. That brings OUR menagerie to: 1 dog, 3 cats, 1 tortoise, 1 hamster, 1 cornsnake. And when Chica moves in this fall, another dog. Oh, yeah, we're gonna start charging admission. LOL.

And....Frog's younger brother's girlfriend (did you catch that??) spent the weekend with the other brother and his wife, who is all earthy like me, but way healthier about it. She apparently was spewing great things about the benefits of a vegan diet for fertility. I was pesketarian (seafood only) for more than half my life, and vegan for a whopping 3 months...I really like cheese. But, she's convinced, and so assuming I can afford to go grocery shopping, I am going to clean up my diet a bit....I'm fairly responsible about it. I feel enormous and bloated with all I've been eating to try and beef up. I could stand to eat some really healthy stuff for a while. I don't think I will go totally vegan right now, but I'm going to try and up my soy intake and be diligent about my fruits and veggies. Have you ever heard anything about veganism and fertility? Love to hear if you have. I will take thoughts...if it helps Helga hold onto an embie, I'm all about it.

I warned you I'm wordy. Lots on my mind...

Last couple of things...I now believe in miracles...I've read some amazing BFP stories this week, my favorite being Helga's namer, Circus Princess. Thanks to her I've had You Sexy Thing stuck in my head for 2 days. That's a good thing :) Also, as I am at T-minus 2 days until Lu.pron, I want to also give a shout out to my Cycle Buddy Nicole ... she starts the same day as I do. She is as spazzed as I am, so if you get a chance, can you go give her some lovin'? Thanks!

Okay, I'll shut up for now. Thanks for listening, as usual. I am very verbose, and you are all very patient. Love you :)

  1. Love ya chica! "I believe in miracles"... "you sexy thing"... thanks, now it's totally stuck in my brain too - hahaha! Although it's competing with my mental image of your poo floating in the big hole in front of your house - LMFAO!!

    Hugs and kissies!

  3. That is quite the hole in the ground! I promise I didn't laugh about the poop incident, but I can one up you. When I was a kid, we lived with my mom's parents for a brief period of time in between moves. One night, in the middle of the night, I had to poop. I must have used too much TP, and it ended up really screwing with the pipes (it was an older home). When everyone woke up in the morning, they discovered the pipes had burst and there was shit (literally) covering my grandparents basement floor: mine and everyone elses. Thank God I was little. It was mortifying!

  7. wow- what to repond to? First the poop story is hilarious! I would be so embarrassed if that happened to me also, but it makes for a great story. Um, I DO believe in miracles and that miraculous things can happen - some things just cant be explained. Lastly, I was vegan for a while too..definitely under a year. But I was a strict vegetarian for a couple of years in my late teens..my whole family was. I have a couple issues here: this is when my weird periods started happening (early sign of PCOS)-i'm not saying that it was caused by diet but obviously diet didn't stop it from happening...and i was a good vegetarian-not the kind who says they're vegetarian but eats lots of crap that would technically be ok for a vegetarian to eat. Now i do eat meat but I love fruits, veggies and whole grains and believe that the more of those kinds of things you eat the healthier you are and feel. I could go on about this for a long time...i'm wordy today too! well hope your construction stuff ends soon- that is rough :)

  9. That is a whole lot of hole. Sorry - couldn't help myself. :-)

I don't about vegan and fertility. My problem is that that it starts to leave lots of soy products. My research has brought up concerns about too much soy being a bad thing. I avoid meat even fish because of mercury. I'm allergic to milk but love cheese. I'm trying to stick with organic fruits and vegetables. My protein mostly comes from beans/lentils/quinoa. Overall I think it is all about finding what works for your body. Everyone is different and therefore our diets will be different - I think. Good luck.

  10. LOL, the hole in the ground story is hilarious! I also had to laugh at all the animals. Sounds like my parents house. I wish I could get another cat, or a puppy. My husband has a "1 pet at a time" rule. Boo!
