Okay, so here is my fear. I am just about out of FMLA because of all the shit this year. Hubby doesn't have insurance, and we cannot be without, so if they have to let me go we have to look into private, or do COBRA. We can't be turned down now for pre-existing conditions, but if I can't get paid, we can't afford it. Ack! Freaking out a bit. May try to call HR directly this morning and get a straight answer.
Spike has been behaving while I take it easy, but I know going into work will send me over the edge again. Really, really, REALLY freaking out.
Neurologist later and then I will update you on that and Tuesday's OB appointment.

((((Genevieve)))) Take a deep breath. It is going to be OK. Good luck with HR (I know how hard it can be to get a straight answer sometimes) and have a good appointment. Will look for your update later. It will be OK!
ReplyDeleteMy sister applied for medicare. Which took care of all maternity appointments, labor/delivery, and 1 year of well baby care.
ReplyDeleteCalm down.....I know things are crazy but try not to get too worked up. In the meantime I will be thinking of you and hope that you can get some answers. Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteThere are low income medical plans every state has to offer them also specific hospitals sometimes have one too. Call around and google, youll find the perfect one.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll be able to find something that works for you - hopefully they don't let you go and this is all a moot point!
ReplyDeleteHang in there, so sorry you have to deal with this as well as all you've been through the past few weeks. Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteGood luck navigating this crap that is our health system...surely there is something available? Hopefully HR will help you.
ReplyDeleteEven if you do lose your job if you have a Short term Claim filed then your Short term insurance claim will continue to be paid for your entire pregnancy only once the claim is ended example Doctor allows you to go back to work would payments then stop and then you would need to go back to work....but as long as your Dr. says you need to be off and if its past the time STD pays then it will carry over to LTD just as long as Dr. cont to say you need to be off and of course the STD/LTD company feels the reasons are medically necessary(this can be tricky they try anyway they can to deny you)(I faught with LTD for 11wks but finally won and am now covered) and as far as insurance goes when my job let me go I got a letter from Cobra allowing me to keep my benefits and I was surprised but the premiums where the same as what I was paying....this is good for 18months....Even though this is so stressful try to not work yourself up to much...I know this is easier said than done but I have been in your shoes and if you need anything or have questions just ask:)
