Cold Feet

Did any of you get cold feet?

I'm so scared. 10 days until Lu.pron. I can't get my sleep schedule under control. I don't want insomnia ruining it for us. I keep thinking about my doubts, my beliefs, my desires, and how they all so completely conflict.

If you made the choice NOT to pursue IVF.....please tell me. I want to hear your story. I don't think I am going to back out, but I'm pretty keyed up about it the past few days....

  1. I don't really remember ...but you can go and read my archives from the time before we started...

I never chickened out or got Cold Feet, by the time we were ready to start it, I was READY, I was sick of not being PG, of course I was sure it wasn't going to work, but I wanted to try.

I know it's so hard but once you're in the midst of it, once the shots start and you know what you're working toward, I promise you, you'll be ok.

I'm here, virtually holding your hand and if you need someone to talk to, vent to, cry to, during all of it, I'm here.

  2. We've been at this IVF thing for the last five years man, no chickening out here. A long hard road but so worth it for so many of us in the end. Hang in there, it is scary, but really a great experience most times.

Regarding if we are finding out boy or girl, he's a boy due in October. I have posted pics previously of his ultrasounds and plan to post the next ones at my 26 week ultrasound, later in July.

Anyway girl we are all here for you and know that you have waay too much support as you start this ivf road my friend.

  3. I didn't get cold feet as such, but I do remember feeling like, "Is this really happening?" I didn't think we would ever be the couple that needed IVF and it felt a little bit like it was all happening around me.

I have a friend that sent me this message when I told her we were getting ready to start our second IVF cycle, I hope it helps you too:

"trust your gut! If you know something is wrong, you are right. If you don't like your doctor, switch. If you want to start a cycle a different month because you aren't ready, switch it. Believe in you.
    Good luck"

You are in charge. Do what is right for you.
