Well, It's Kinda Good News

My kidney pain isn't kidney pain at all.

It's your run-of-the-mill back pain. Well, incapacitating back pain. Probably due to the pregnancy. Just like the migraines. I am waiting to hear from the Pain Management folks and try out a muscle relaxer.

Sigh.

In here at least one more night. Hubby was finally able to visit. We are playing music for Cricket, and he MAY have felt her...he is as uncertain as I. My mom is heading up to visit as well.

Okay, don't yell at me, but there is a thought I cannot get out of my mind, one I had when contemplating IVF. Maybe there is a reason I/DH could not have children naturally. My kid is thriving...but I am obviously having an above average difficult time. My body HATES this pregnancy job. I am a hot mess. I am more than thankful that as far as the pregnancy goes, all is well. I am.

But I wanted so badly to enjoy this. And for all but a week here and there I have been SICK AS A DOG. And I also know I am not the only one who has been through a hellish pregnancy, but I am willing to bet they were just as disappointed. There is no way around it. It f'ing sucks.

  1. Awwww... I'm so sorry. :(

I have a confession to go along with yours. A BIG part of me is relieved that I never got pregnant. Because honestly, even though I know the payoff at the end is WAY more than worth it... it sounds like a huge pain in the patootie.

I really hope you start feeling better. I have hope! <3

  4. Ugh... I'm so sorry that things just keep on sucking profusely.

Here's some ass-vice that you can take or leave... Have you considered going to a chiropractor? I know I have raved about mine, but seriously, I couldn't have made it through my pregnancy without being adjusted regularly.

    Hang in there, hon!

  7. On a good note, I'm relieved it's not your kidney. I'm relieved it's not more serious and it hasn't affected Cricket. Please stay positive and remember the big picture, sweetie. In the immediate, it's been a rough haul for you. But you've managed through! I'm hoping things start to go smoothly for you soon!

  9. Pregnancy is no joke. I do know a couple moms that swear that when they were pregnant that was the best they've ever felt but these moms are few and far between. Whether its physical pains or the hormonal fluctuations there is no way to prepare for it unless you've already gone through it once. Of course that being said I can eat my own words cause I thought I was prepared and being pregnant with multiples is twice the aches and pains at twice the strength. Hang in there lovely lady and remember 2 things; 1. You get a kiddo when you're done and 2. Pregnancy doesn't last forever so keep yourself busy mentally and it will fly by.

  10. Dont you just want to punch those perfect pregnant women:) Who just love being pregnant and never worry or go through anything and its just a breeze...NOT!!!

I hear you pregnancy isnt easy...seems we all have things we struggle with but I just tell myself it will all be worth it in the end....and there are def things I will miss about being pregnant...For one I know I will never be able to do this again so I have to take the good with the bad..

I hope you feel better and get the pain under control...Would a heating pad help? Even though the pain is probably beyond that but maybe it will give some additional relief

  11. Pregnancy isn't easy. I know how much it sucks to be in constant pain. I got the bonus news at my last appt that my chances of incontinence are like 1 in 3. I am so sorry you are disappointed and having to go through this. But you WILL make it through-even though it seems endless right now. Hope you find a solution that lasts soon.
