Sorry

I'm sorry I've been such a downer about Phelan lately. I'm just frustrated and need to let it out. And hoping I'm not the only one who goes through such things with their child. Which it turns out is the case. Hearing about others' struggles makes me feel better. Not that I'm glad they are struggling or have struggled, it just means I'm not alone.

Parenting can be a lonely proposition. It's good to know I have support.

  1. Oh, how very true. Raising a "spirited, strong-willed child" can be a very lonely endevour. But 1. It gets better every day, week, months and year, it truly does, and then you get to enjoy the different" when other people stop pitying you and switch for envy. 2. You find strength in yourself, and patience, and you lose all that within one heartbeat twenty times in half an hour. You learn more than you have ever learnt before, about yourself, about your child, and about the world. It is eye-opening. It is hard. No, it is HARD. But you can do it in the end, because of the LOVE. Thanks to the LOVE. In the end, the love is what stays with you, despite the gray hairs and bad moments.
    You are NOT. Alone.
